The Manager, Administrative Services, Interior British Columbia will oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative functions by providing exceptional leadership to the Internal Client Service (ICS - administrative) teams of the Interior British Columbia offices (Castlegar, Nelson, Penticton & Trail) to ensure high levels of organizational effectiveness. Reporting to the Regional Manager, Administrative Services and working closely with various members of the Interior British Columbia business unit, this role can be based out of the Castlegar office as a home base. Some travel may be required.

As a Manager, Administrative Services your responsibilities will include: Ensure overall quality, consistency and efficiency of assistant and administrative support services provided to Partners/Principals, Managers & Accountants of all levels in order to meet the high standards of client service Lead the Administrative team and maintain an in-depth understanding of operational and administrative requirements Manage the Administrative team’s needs and present issues to senior management as required Work with the Administrative Services Senior Leadership team to set the vision for the Administrative team’s service delivery designed for growth Oversee the delivery and efficacy of the Administrative team’s training Supervise the administrative team’s vacation and work schedules Distribute work evenly among the Administrative team to ensure maximum efficiency in the offices Oversee the confidence building feedback process and the leadership development of Senior Administrative Assistants Organize general office procedures in collaboration with the Office Operations Team and recommend strategic improvements to current processes Oversee ongoing building operations, renovations, security and parking Coordinate business unit team meetings and celebrations including booking and planning, agendas, minutes and revision action items and accountabilities Assist the Managing Partner with confidential partnership matters Oversee accounts payable and POS system administration for the business unit Maintain compliance with Grant Thornton’s document retention and destruction policies and procedures Oversee the provision of appropriate office supplies and an effective and aesthetically pleasing physical working environment Provide training to new Administrative team members and ensure that the employee on-boarding process reflects current office operating procedures Coordinate and oversee the coordination of special events and office meetings when required Participate in the design of work spaces Oversee health and safety committee ensuring effective committees are in place in other offices Lead recruiting and departures of Administrative team members

Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a progressive Administrative or Operations role within a professional services environment Professional attitude and ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships Proven to be detail oriented, reliable, efficient, and diligent in duties and responsibilities Outstanding organization skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks; outcome oriented and self-driven Exceptional conflict resolution skills with a demonstrated ability to exercise tact, discretion, confidentiality and diplomacy Business acumen with experience in partnering with the business stakeholders to understand priorities, principles and practices and the ability to translate those into Internal Client Services priorities Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exercising good judgment and leadership Ability to train and coach peers, direct reports and others Proven experience as a resource for senior leadership and is able to provide overall leadership and direction Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Commerce/Project Management Experience in full-cycle recruitment and on the job training Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote) High-level knowledge of Visio, CaseWare, Citrix, STAR and CRM would be an asset
