Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties – Resolving technical support issues (related to servers, applications, networking, backups, security, etc.); escalating where appropriate to other team members – Providing remote support and on-site support – Working on projects as assigned by Senior Technicians. – Following standard operating procedures – Maintaining accurate documentation of client networks, resolved issues, and client information – Communicating tickets status and updates directly to clients – Providing technical support to the organization’s internal users of computer applications and hardware – Being willing to work flexible hours when required to meet client deadlines and participating in the rotating on-call schedule. – Participating in team and company meetings to help ensure the success of the team and organization – Working with management to layout a training plan to help move your career forward – Documenting time entries and expenses without oversight in a timely and accurate manner – Providing training sessions to new clients – Working with the account management and sales team to identify new opportunities

Qualifications and Skills – Aptitude for working with IT systems – 0-4 years experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining business networks. – Ability to communicate very clearly to clients during support calls is a must. – Microsoft and other network certifications as well as experience with network security devices. Additional certifications and/or relevant experience will be considered – Ability to work remotely and independently, as well as part of a team – Ability to travel within the Boundary Region, and maintain a valid class 5 drivers licence – Must own and maintain your own vehicle in good repair
