Responsible for servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs for all small equipment, vehicles, and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Operations, this position will be responsible for all maintenance of the City’s fleet and equipment. Must be familiar with hydraulic systems, electronic diagnostics and computerized systems. Able to troubleshoot and repair fuel injection systems, electronic controls, small engines, fuel systems and electrical systems. Must be able to operate heavy equipment as well as other designated equipment.

Qualifications The successful candidate will hold a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate with a BC Class 3 Drivers License with air brake endorsement.

This position is a CUPE Local 2262 position with an attractive hourly rate of $37.67 plus additional $1.40 per hr trades qualification premium.
