The part-time janitor at Waneta Plaza is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable building, both inside and out. The worker will work up to 24 hours per week, in addition to covering sick/vacation days. Shifts are 6:30am to 2:30pm and 2:30pm to 10:30pm.

Key responsibilities:

• Sweep and mop floors • Vacuum carpets • Emptying trash • Sanitizing restroom and other high traffic areas • Snow clearing in winter and landscaping in summer months • General cleaning as assigned • Respond to tenant and customer requests

Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment and snow removal equipment • Must work with cleaning chemicals; training will be provided • Standing/walking for extended periods of time • Must be energetic, flexible, and reliable • Must be friendly, courteous, self-motivated, and professional • Ability to multi-task • Ability to work independently

The ideal candidate will have the ability to make minor repairs throughout the shopping centre.
