Waneta Plaza part-time janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable building, both inside and out. The janitor will work up to 32 hours per week, subject to the return of the incumbent currently on a leave of absence.

Key responsibilities:

• Sweep and mop floors

• Vacuum carpets

• Emptying trash

• Sanitizing restrooms and other high-traffic areas

• Snow clearing in winter and landscaping in summer months

• General cleaning as assigned

• Respond to tenant and customer requests

Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment and snow removal equipment

• Must work with cleaning chemicals; training will be provided

• Standing/walking for extended periods of time

• Must be energetic, flexible, and reliable

• Must be friendly, courteous, self-motivated, and professional

• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to work independently

The ideal candidate will have the ability to make minor repairs throughout the shopping centre.

Wage is $20.34 per hour. 90% of wage during the probationary period. 6 mos. or 360 hours, whichever comes first.
