The School of Health and Human Services is looking for one instructor for the Practical Nursing Program (PN) program. This position will be short-term to teach in the long-term care (LTC) clinical setting in the Trail/Castlegar area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and support clinical education for PN students in LTC Provide ongoing written and verbal feedback to students Foster practice partners and College relationships Communicate with practice partners to ensure common understanding of learning outcomes of practice course Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback Participate in instructional team meetings Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills Three – five years of recent, relevant practice experience in long-term care and/or acute care Understanding of the context and scope of practice of the Licenced Practical Nurse in British Columbia Education and Experience

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse Previous teaching experience in a post-secondary setting is an asset An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. This position is non-regular, Full-time (100%) commencing April 24, 2023, and ending May 26, 2023. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the BC Government Employees Union (BCGEU) Collective Agreement, Appendix A. The salary range is $2,416.46 - $3,882.99 bi-weekly (at a 100% appointment) and is based on qualifications and experience.
