Job Description
The School of University Arts and Sciences invites applications for an instructor in Mathematics. The successful applicant will instruct students at the college’s Castlegar campus at the provincial level, adult upgrading mathematics (Math 60) and business mathematics (Math 125) for first-year students in the college’s Business Administration program.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Employ best practices for teaching and learning Provide instruction and support to students Create and maintain a positive learning environment Provide constructive and meaningful feedback to students Evaluate student progress and achievement Ensure the alignment of course outcomes, assessments and evaluation Report to the UAS School Chair on related course matters including the course outline, assessments, and student issues

Education and Experience: A Master’s degree in Mathematics or in a related field Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Experience with the Moodle Learning Management System is an asset.
This is a short-term, part-time (57%) position commencing August 18, 2022, and ending December 21, 2022. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Selkirk College Faculty Association (SCFA) Collective Agreement. The salary range is $2,369.08-$3,806.85 bi-weekly (at 100% appointment) and is based on qualifications and experience.
