Trail Operations has over 26 different operating plants and processes concentrates and other materials from around the world to produce more than 290,000 tpy of refined zinc and 70,000 tpy of refined lead. Requirements : Working towards an Undergraduate/Graduate degree or diploma in Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Kinesiology or Physiotherapy Motivated self-starters, able to work under minimal supervision and be able to manage several projects simultaneously Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with a willingness to work outdoors and able to operate vehicles, at our operations, in various weather conditions and terrain Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels Excellent computer skills with the ability to track and analyze data as well as manage project timelines Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is necessary, and a working knowledge of PowerPoint and Access Impeccable record keeping and excellent organizational skills Experience working in mining or heavy industry considered an asset

Responsibilities Participation in the health and safety programs of Teck to ensure that everyone goes home safe and healthy every day Provide education on programs and standards Provide support for injury prevention initiatives Provide crew talks and workplace inspections Provide support to the Health & Safety department where needed

All students will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing prior to commencing work. Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable.
