Birchbank (Viaggio) Golf Club is looking to add motivated, outgoing individuals to our golf shop staff for the 2023 season. Birchbank is rich in history established in 1961 now under new ownership of the Viaggio Hospitality Group from Vancouver. We have and continue to undergo changes and improvements to the golf course & Bistro Restaurant. Situated along the banks of the Columbia River Birchbank is always an excellently conditioned course that plays to all levels. This tree lined golf course is a must play in the area.

Reporting to the Director of Golf the successful candidates will be a key part of our team and will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of golf operations. This is a tremendous opportunity for the right individuals who enjoy a fast paced yet enjoyable, fun work environment. We are looking for a highly motivated and well-organized individuals to fill 2 seasonal positions.

Responsibilities consist of but not limited to:

• Provide excellent communication, customer service, advice and assistance to all guests • Provide a professional and enjoyable environment for all staff members • Oversee the daily tee times and maintain the pace of play on the course • Be responsible for the effective management of the first tee • Ensure guest check-in and fee collection • Oversee outside service staff, starters and marshals • Assist in the receipt, display, inventory control, promotion and sales of merchandise • Conduct and maintain a professional image and manner at all times • Promote all club activities and services • Assist with the co-ordination of Men’s Club, Ladies Club & Retirees Club • Additional responsibilities as directed by the Director of Golf

• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service • Highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills • Strong merchandising and retail skills • Excellent computer skills • Ability to work in a team environment, with a positive attitude • Available to work all shifts

Compensation: To be based on the level of Experience

• $17 to $18 / hour based on experience (20 to 40 hrs. per week) • Golf privileges • Meal discount program • Term of Employment, Mid to Late March (for training) to 1st week of November
