Yesterday and today:
Since 1939 and over four generations, our team has been inspired by forests and the endless possibilities for designing and building with wood. As one of the cleanest and most well-managed, high-technology specialty mills in B.C., we are committed to supporting our customers, our communities and our environment while producing some of the finest grain and highest quality softwood lumber products in the world.
Today, we are excited at the opportunity to create more jobs through our biggest investment yet – a $35 million mass timber facility. We are now not only a sawmill, but also North America’s most advanced fully-integrated mass timber facility. Here, we will see the product through the entire process, from forest management, log optimization, specialty drying and finishing, custom designing, mass timber manufacturing to customer delivery. This new facility was recently constructed between Castlegar and Nelson, B.C. and will use state-of-the-art equipment, producing exceptionally high-quality cross-laminated timber and glulam beams.
