Once you complete training, you will be the General Manager of a Dairy Queen Restaurant. You will be responsible for hiring and training your team including assistant managers, supervisors and support staff. We are looking for someone that is a self-motivator, knows how to manage people and knows how to run a Restaurant profitably. We want a community driven person, able to attend Chamber meetings, sponsor events and be involved with teams and events, all while promoting the Restaurant as whole. This job is ideally suited for a self-starter, natural leader, with a high aptitude for business and customer relations. This location is ideally suited to someone who loves the community experience, and strong community bonds.

Requirements include:

· Hands on Position. This job is not just an office job, but to work every position and help the team out once the need arises · Minimum 5 years in a general management position in food service industry · Natural leadership skills, open and honest personality · Post-Secondary Education or 5-7 years of experience will be accepted · Ability to create and manage budgets, cash flow, and projections · Experience in QSR industry preferred · Strong communication skill · High aptitude for computers and technology · High degree of confidence in social media · Able to work independently · Able to manage staff, scheduling and labor cost · Understand and manage food costs and reporting of same · Knowledge of POS systems, how to get the reports from them and use them to forecast, budget and control cost · Excellent planning and organizational skills · Understand inventories, Inventory control, and how it plays into cost control. · Must have Driver’s license and Car

We are a growing company based in Edmonton with multiple Dairy Queens, Restaurants, and other food service venues in Alberta and B.C. This is a projected high volume location, and we are looking for exceptional ability. This opportunity will also include above average wages, performance bonus, and medical plan. Managers will have to complete the Dairy Queen Manager Certification and may have to take a one-week final training seminar out of the country, so a valid passport would also be required.
