As a Front Desk Agent, you will be empowered to create a unique, boutique, luxury experience for our guests. YOU thrive on face to face contact and daily interactions with our guests. You are the face of the hotel and the one to create a lasting first impression of the Josie.

PLUS a retention bonus of $1.00 per hour worked paid at the end of the Season (September 15).

Front desk agents will be accountable for a multitude of functions, including but not limited to:

· Greet all guests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner

· Make guest reservations, and actively promote package add-ons

· Ensure accuracy of all guest information during check-in and check-out

· Safely handle cash floats and any other forms of monetary transactions for guests

· Promptly answer all calls in a friendly and courteous manner

· Respond to guest needs, ensuring special requests are directed through to the appropriate department

· Communicate effectively and professionally with other departments

· Contribute to the security of the building, company assets, and team/guest safety with full adherence to security procedures

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all rooms available as well as their location, layout, and rate plans

Job Requirements

· Minimum 1 year experience in Customer Service; hospitality experience preferred · A valid Driver’s License would be an asset · Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office; previous property management system knowledge an asset but not required · Numerical acuity · Sincere interest in ensuring our guests have the best possible experience at The Josie and in Rossland · Adventurous spirit – you are an explorer and you crave exhilaration · LOVE sharing your own experiences in Rossland with our guests · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hotel environment · Strong communication skills · Willingness to learn, develop, & grow · Superb focus and attention to detail · Ability to stand for the duration of your shift (8 hours) · Ability to lift and carry luggage items (up to 50 lbs.) and push and pull a luggage cart · Willingness to help in other areas as needed · Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including overnight and weekends
