Position Summary

The Forest Planning Technician takes a hands on approach to deliver safe, environmentally responsible, effective and efficient road building and timber harvesting project plans. The position includes a combination of office and field work and involves a range of duties from planning to permitting stages of forest management, Qualifications: -Be able to function as an integral member of a team of results-oriented Forestry Professionals -Be a self starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills -Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry -Have an RFT or RPF designation -Have experience in preparation of cutting and road permit applications, site plans, harvest plans and appraisal submissions -Have an understanding of legislation and regulations governing forest practices in British Columbia -Have proficient computer skills -Be physically capable to complete necessary forest field work -Have a valid class 5 drivers license and a 4x4 truck We offer: -Culture rooted in safety, respect and environmental stewardship -Competitive Salary with full benefits and bonus potential -A rewarding career with experimental learning and professional development opportunities
