KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Proficiently operate 10 to 40 Ton excavators and dozers of various makes and models. Assist in building and maintaining of forestry service roads by excavating, moving and loading dirt, rock and other materials. Select and fit various attachments including buckets, grapples, blades and rock breaking hammers. Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance. Operate other heavy equipment as required and instructed by site supervisors.
Travel to various job sites throughout the Kootenays and Boundary Country, including but not limited to Castlegar, Grand Forks, Nakusp, Creston & Nelson. Ensure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld. General job set-up, site clean up, and materials removal. Perform additional duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

As a member of the BC Eco team, we expect you bring the following to the table:

Minimum 3 years' experience operating excavator and dozer Experience and knowledge of building forestry roads, using a power grapple and timber handling preferred Experience operating Rock Truck is an asset Mechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenance Physically fit and able to walk uneven ground and construction locations Valid Class 5 driver’s licence Willing to travel to different worksites daily, with the possibility of overnight travel Motivated self-starter with positive attitude and proven safety record Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed JOIN THE TEAM
