Job Description

We’re a Canadian-owned and BC-based energy company taking steps toward a lower-carbon energy future by providing renewable energy, natural gas and electricity to more than 1.2 million customers.

We’re looking for new talent to join us as we transform BC’s energy future. Our diverse team of more than 2,600 employees is committed to a safe and inclusive culture where each of us can connect, belong and grow. Join us and let’s work together for a better BC.

Position Overview When everything around you is changing and shifting, you’re the one with the steady hand. As a matter of fact, adaptability is in your nature. You know how to support others in transitioning to new routines or technologies and possess a keen eye for identifying problems before they get out of hand. Our Information Systems department and other business areas are always shaking things up to implement the latest tech and practices, and we need someone like you to lead our team of Change Managers.

As the Enterprise Change Manager, you will lead, develop and maintain the overall Change Management Strategy for departments, applications, infrastructure and technology, and work with other team leads when process deficiencies or improvements are identified. You will also champion improving and measuring our Change Management practices overall.

Your ability to develop processes is one thing, but your approach to evaluating results and communicating your findings is what sets you apart. You can see the big picture, ensuring our change management processes run like well-oiled machines and our employees can manage the change.

In this role, you will: Create a holistic Change Management strategy based on growing business and operational needs. Review change processes and learn from past opportunities for streamlining. Handle resourcing and manage costs related to change management. Develop a long-term strategy for Enterprise Change Management. Deal with issues of escalation from various stakeholders and Change Managers. Act as a change advocate and a coach to our Change Managers and business partners. What it takes: A post secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline from a recognized program plus four years of related work experience or a combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge and experience in areas such as ITIL and Prosci or other Change Management frameworks. Excellent communication skills and the ability to distill complex information for senior management, legal departments, and vendors. Demonstrated ability to drive and implement prudent change through continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, adaptability and customer-centric approaches. In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
