Master’s Degree in school psychology/educational psychology and be eligible for membership in BC Assoc. of School Psychologists (BCASP) or College of Psychologists of BC (CPBC) Experience in Cognitive-Theory-Based Counselling with an understanding of Trauma Informed Practice with adolescent populations Previous experience and training in administering and interpreting Level-C psychological assessments, with experience writing reports to share results. Must be familiar with Inter-ministerial social agency protocols and resources Knowledge of assistive technology as a resource to support student learning Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Must be experienced and successful at working in a collaborative team setting Training in Suicide Risk Assessment and care plans An understanding of counselling supports through a Response to Intervention lens Eligible for certification with BC Teacher Regulation Branch, but not essential

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Provide individual student assessment and behavioural intervention programming for diverse students Maintain therapy caseloads Administer Level “C” assessments, interpret results, and write reports Consult with school-based teams, parents, district staff, and community agencies to understand children and develop educational support plans for students Provide/facilitate professional development opportunities for School District #20 employees including teachers, administration, and direct student support staff. Active member of the District Crisis Team, District Itinerant Team, and District Internal Review Team.

Note: The successful candidate will require a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
