Role and objectives:
In this position you will have the opportunity to learn how to operate one or more of our CNC machines. The position will start off with the Uniteam CLT 400, dual gantry panel machine, but may evolve into our new Hundugger Panel CNC or our Hundegger Beam CNC.
You will work alongside our Finishing Team, delivering high quality products on time to our valued customers.
Responsibilities
Ensure all timber panels and beams are milled with precision and to the highest quality to meet our customers’ expectations. Coordinate production flow through CNC to meet delivery schedules. Manage machine interface between CADworks and DDX software platforms. Conduct QC on machine cut parts to ensure accuracy to the specified drawings. Maintain all equipment and tooling to ensure high uptime performance. Perform regular inspections and calibrations of the machine to ensure precision accuracy. Ensure safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Requirements:
A passion for working with wood – either in lumber, timber, or carpentry experience Self-motivated, and capable of working alone as well as a part of a team! Experience reading and interpreting plans/designs is an asset. Experience with computer modeling such as CADWorks, Autocad, Revit, Solidworks, DDX is an asset. Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communications skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
