Providing a safe and enjoyable experience, Transit Drivers take passengers on regularly scheduled routes ensuring they arrive at their destinations on time and as planned. Your outstanding customer service plays a trajor role in creating an experience for local riders and visitors to our community. You will be a vital part in reaching the City of Nelson's goal of being the number one Municipality in Canada based on value for service.

Under the supervision of the Fleet and Transit Supervisor and/or the direction of the Lead Hand, this casual position provides holiday relief and sick coverage for the regular drivers. The Transit Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, friendly service within Nelson and the West Kootenay Transit System. Due to this position being casual in nature, you must have the ability and willingness to work various shifts/hours on short notice.
