
Birchbank Golf & Bistro Chef
Job Description
The Birchbank Bistro is looking for a Chef to help lead their Kitchen Operations. Our menu is full of house made favorites with a focus on freshness and unique flavors.
This will be a "hands on role" working directly with the upper management, location FOH managers and their teams. The ideal candidate must have prior kitchen management experience and a strong understanding of the hospitality industry.
You will be responsible for helping to lead and motivate your culinary team to deliver the highest standard. You will be working with the General Manager to ensure that the vision for this location is expressed through menu offerings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare dishes Create recipes Assist in running and managing kitchen operations Assist in hiring, training and supervising cooks and other kitchen staff Assist in planning menus Assist in preparing schedules for kitchen staff Ensure kitchen is clean, well-supplied and organized
Knowledge and Skills Required: 2 to 3 years experience as a cook/chef Cook's trade certification or equivalent credentials, training and experience Ability to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation Ability to multitask and work effectively Candidate must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered. Salary: $48,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
