Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of this position include budgetary management, inter-departmental team and relationship building, employee management, enhancing our guest experience, guest and employee health and safety, and risk management.

Work directly with the General Manager to orchestrate daily operations and the long-term goals of RED Mountain Resort. Develop and review annual operational budgets in consultation with the General Manager and CFO to insure budgetary cost allocations. Work directly with Outdoor Operations, Facilities and Lift Maintenance to ensure all RED Mountain assets, equipment, facilities, and lifts meet and exceed all safety and operational requirements. Collaborate with the Facilities Manager on resort-wide roads, parking, landscape and buildings maintenance and capital projects. Work directly with Patrol, Lifts, Maintenance, and Grooming departments to ensure all Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Procedures, WorkSafeBC documentation, and staff training are implemented to highest standard. Develop and maintain a resort-wide Safety and Risk Management program, with buy-in and support from all departments. This includes both occupational health and safety, public safety and liability and ensuring all WorkSafeBC requirements are met. Provide support in all areas of human resources, including training and development, recruitment and retention, on-boarding, policies and procedures, and performance management and discipline. Assist with design and implementation of on-mountain expansion of lifts and terrain. Provide support to department managers on the training procedures for each department, including helping to develop and facilitate content in areas of expertise. Provide support to department managers in the areas of performance management. Organize and lead inter-departmental meetings in order to facilitate strong, clear communication and interaction between all departments. What you need: Well-rounded experience in all aspects of ski resort operations. Extensive experience with Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety, WorkSafeBC, Liability and Public Safety. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills. Proven leader, team builder and able to effectively bring departments together to work cross functionally. Knowledge of Human Resources management, organizational development and performance management. Strong computer skills.
