Martech Motor Winding Ltd. - CASTLEGAR has an immediate opening for a Part Time Administrative Assistant to join our team.

Martech is a family-owned business that has been serving the Castlegar and West Kootenay region for the past 30 years. Our facility and shop provide services to industrial, commercial, and institutional clients in the area, specializing in the repair/rebuild/sale of electric motors, welding machines, water systems, pumps, and standby generators.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact on our counter and have the skillset to interact with customers in person, on the phone, and via email, have a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Products and is comfortable in a fast-paced industrial shop environment.

Job Details:

This is a Part-Time position that is available immediately and reports to the Office Administrator. The position is based in Castlegar, BC. Working hours are from 8am-3:00pm Monday-Friday.

Wages and benefits are based on education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Description:

Ability to communicate effectively with customers or suppliers either in person, on phone, or via email Maintaining and updating files and records Data entry and filing Complete daily administrative tasks which are integral to the overall business operations (Time entry, Work Order Creation, Organizing etc) Assist with shipping/receiving of materials, products, jobs, projects Other duties as required Qualification Requirements and Skills:

Minimum 1 year of pre-existing administrative office or receptionist experience Administrative Certificates or Training Courses are not required but a plus Experience with Sage 300 CRE is not required but a plus Enjoys interacting with customers and suppliers Experience with the use of office equipment (printers, computers, copiers etc) Must be able to take direction and work well both independently and within a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Flexible with the ability to move between various tasks We thank all candidates for their applications, however, only those chosen for an interview will be contacted.
