Accounts Payable Clerk for an established medium sized construction company.

Hil-Tech Contracting is currently seeking an Accounts Payable clerk for a full-time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities will be as follows:

Payables / Job Costing – Receiving invoices, distributing to Project Manager for approvals Managing P.O. tracking system Reconciliation & payment of Union Dues Project job costing & coding Data entry into Sage 50 accounting systems Monthly pay run for suppliers & subcontractors Receiving & processing cost related information supplied to the other departments Work efficiently and be able to meet key deadlines Must be well organized Be able to take directions from others Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) Strong desire to take on assigned tasks and a willingness to learn Previous experience in a fast-paced office setting with two or more staff Learning construction terminology and processes Working in a fast-paced environment Complete daily tasks each day as required Be able to work well with other office staff Work in an open office environment Payroll experience would be an asset Work Experience - Required Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of the construction industry; understands general construction terms and processes would be an asset Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong organizational skills in order to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks, while maintaining a high attention to detail Flexibility to manage increased volume of work as required Desire to take ownership of tasks assigned and willingness to learn Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and in a team environment Encompassing good communication skills for the ability to communicate with others Effective verbal and written communication skills Qualifications:

Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel applications Previous experience in an office environment Excellent time-management and an ability to multi-task and work effectively within a fast- paced environment
