B.A. Benson & Son Ltd. (Benson Oil ) is an independent diesel, gas and lubricant distribution company based in Trail, BC that provides fuels and lubricants required by residential, commercial, and industrial customers from locations throughout the Kootenay’s. RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately in warehouse · Optimize warehouse space, and organize stocks to ensure proper stock rotation following “First In First Out” method · Maintain high standard of inventory controls and perform audits on a monthly basis · Examine ingoing and outgoing product shipments for defects and damages, and report any discrepancies to management · Prepare and check receiving and shipping documents for accuracy, and reconcile daily product coverages and shortages · Prepare and accurately complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) · Perform daily tank readings and maintain fuel accounting records such as daily inventories and distributions (i.e. dip the tanks daily, read meters, and enter data into online portal · Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures · Move pallets of stock using a forklift, neatly dispose of pallets, cardboard, etc., and perform other general housekeeping duties · Conduct daily walk around inspections of the terminal grounds and cardlock sites and perform preventive and regular terminal maintenance duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment · Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times · Empty garbage and separate recycle items · Keep window washer buckets clean and topped up with a mix of water and window washer antifreeze and cleaning agent depending on the time of year · Ensure all equipment (i.e. filters, tanks, exchangers, etc.) is kept clean · Other duties as required by management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or equivalent GED · Previous warehouse experience would be an asset · Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment · Ability to lift or manually move heavy products up to 50 pounds · Proficiency in various software, databases, and computer system would be an asset · Strong mathematical and computer skills · Good organizational and time management skills · Clear and effective oral and written communication skills to communicate with customers and co-workers effectively and tactfully · Strong interpersonal skills to support team effort and needs of Benson Oil · Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
