Qualifications: • BC Certification • Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent • Undergraduate degree with a major or minor in English and Social Studies • Demonstrated current knowledge of the renewed curriculum for English & Social Studies and the learning outcomes and appropriate resources • Previous successful experience teaching secondary English & Social Studies • Experience with a variety of learning management systems • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment • Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills
