GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator 2 oversees the day-to-day operations for Child and Youth program. Staff assignments and direction to ensure that the goals and objectives of the organization are met. The Program Coordinator provides planning, coordination and administration of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS: A degree in social work, counselling or a related field, is required for this position (equivalent combined education and experience may be accepted).

At leased three year’s previous direct program delivery experience in the sector.

Previous program management experience is preferred within the social service sector.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops, implements, coordinates and evaluates plans and program designed to ensure that clients’ needs are met. Ensures that program standards, guidelines and policies of the organization are maintained and that all licensing requirements are met.

Supervises and evaluates staff’s work. Coordinates the scheduling of program staff.

Ensures that accurate program and client records are maintained and that confidentiality is a priority. Ensures that all pertinent documentation is complete.

Requirements of Employment:

Class 5 drivers license (upon 500 hrs probation a Class 4 Unrestricted Driver’s License to be attained)

Current Standard First Aid and CPR – C

Clear Criminal Record Check

Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination

HOURS AND DAYS OF WORK: Three days per week. Depending on program and client needs. (Position might require evenings and weekend work)

RATE OF PAY: 28.39/hour

POSITION REQUIRES UNION MEMBERSHIP
