National Champs!
Dr. Jonathan Bailey, a second year general surgery resident at Dalhousie, placed first at this year’s National Laparoscopic Suturing Championship held on September 2, 2010, at the Canadian Surgery Forum in Quebec City. He follows in the footsteps of Dr. Rene Boisvert (general surgery, Dalhousie) who won the championship last year, and Dr. Shubha De (urology, Dalhousie) who won at the 2010 National Urology Conference in Charlottetown.
All three doctors spent countless hours in the Skills Centre practising and fine tuning their suturing techniques—and their hard work has obviously paid off. Congratulations!
